Q: I have A Mac how do I share a dial-up connection with a Mac?

A: If you have a Mac this web site might help you out with the Internet Connection Sharing part, and this post on the nintendo foums called Conecting using Apple Share can help you getting the IP Addresses; just make sure you share your modem and make it share to your Ethernet port or Airport Card.

Q: I went to my dial-up properties and the Advanced tab, I don't see the Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection checkbox, I only see the firewall checkbox

A: You probably have Windows Xp 64 bit Edition which doesn't have network features like Internet Connection Sharing; The only way you can share a connection is if you get the original (32 bit) version of Windows Xp.

Q: When I go to the command prompt I don't see the gateway for my Network Adapter

A: usually it doesn't matter if the Gateway for the Network Adapter doesn't show up because you don't need to use it, but if the DS doesn't connect you can set a static IP Address by going to the Network Connections Folder and right click your Network Adapter (usually Local Area Connection) and click properties and in the This connection uses the following box scroll down until you see Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click use the following IP Address and enter the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway (usually the IP Address is 192.168.1.100 and the subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 and the Gateway is 192.168.1.1) and just leave both DNS boxes blank and click ok.

Q: Do I need a special router that connects to a phone line to connect?

A: No, you just need a regular Wireless router that is connected to your computer to connect

Q: When I got to the part on your tutorial you said to add a 2 and a number 2 would set off the numbers in my IP Address

A: I just used the number 2 as a example you can put in any number in the last 3 digits of your IP Address you want, but make sure it's different from the Network Adapter's IP Address.

Q: I have AOL and the Nintendo USB connector and when I put in the CD I get a error message saying i'm not connected to the internet

A: For some reason AOL and AOL-Like ISPs (like Wal-Mart) don't work right with Nintendo Wifi connection. Try findng a free ISP like Netzero to use while you are using Nintendo wifi connection or try to get another ISP.

Q: I have AOL and a wireless router and when I go to the properties there is no Advanced tab

A: The reason why there is no advanced tab is because AOL can only connect a special was through their program which changes the Properties for the AOL connection. Try finding a free ISP like Netzero to use while you are using Nintendo wifi connection or try to get another ISP.

Q: Does your Nintendo wifi with dial-up tutorial work with other game systems that use a online service like PSP, PS2, PS3, XBox, XBox 360 and other online gaming systems?

A: It should work with most online gaming systems, but I'm not entirely sure of all the systems, the other online gaming systems that it was tested on are, PSP and PS2.

Q: When I got to the Network Connections and right click my dial-up connection and click properties and then I go to the advanced tab there is no Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet connection checkbox and I have checked my Windows version and I have the 32 bit version of Windows XP --

A: It's Probably because you don't have a wireless router or USB Connector or a USB Wireless Router (Like Wifi Max) and the reason why the checkbox wont show up is because you don't have anything to share the dial-up connection to, you have to first get a wireless router, a Nintendo Wifi USB connector or a Wireless USB Router and then you can share the dial-up connection.

Q: When I got my Wii to connected I was able to download the Wii System Updates and use the News and Forecast Channel and send messages to other people through the Wii Message Board, but I wasn't able to connect to the Wii Shop

A: Nintendo has kind of blocked dial-up users from connecting to the Wii shop, so at this time there is really no way to connect to the Wii Shop with dial-up, but maybe someday someone will find a way to get it to work.

Q: When I try to start a wifi battle with my friend in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl I either join his game or I start my own and when we start it keeps saying "Communicating. Please standby..." for a long time, then either I got a connection error or the battle starts and goes really slow for a while then I get a connection error.

A: The only solution this this problem is to disable voice chat by creating your own game, then pressing X before your friend joins.
